How we work with you

School is where children practice independence - and where many of the challenges that bring families to OT show up most loudly. OT by the Sea provides on-site school-based occupational therapy across West LA, partnering with private schools, charter schools, and learning centers throughout Santa Monica, Brentwood, Beverly Hills, Mar Vista, Venice, Culver City, and Pacific Palisades.

Our school-based therapists embed inside the classroom rather than pulling students out for clinical sessions whenever possible. We observe how your child experiences the cafeteria, the carpet, the chair, the pencil, lunchtime and outdoor play, the unstructured five minutes between subjects - and we coach teachers and aides on adjustments that ripple through the entire day.

We offer direct therapy, school-wide screenings and observations, educator trainings, and consultations on environmental modifications. Our close collaboration ensures each child's goals are meaningful and progress is measurable.

If your school does not currently have an OT on staff, or if your family is supplementing district services with private support, we would love to be part of your child's village.
